Mesalamine 800 mg dosing once a day is given daily with meals. Sulfinpyrazone 100,000-500,000 mg twice a day is given to patients in a double-blind design on an at least weekly basis. A daily dose of 1,200 mg dorzolam (dopamine antagonist, darizolam hydrobromide) is also given to patients in a double-blind study with meals. Dormicum hydrochloride 1,200 mg twice a day, as an anxiolytic, is given in a double-blind design to 6-month old children with anxiety.
Adults:
Adults are treated with sertraline 30-60 mg/d. This dose is given daily in two divided doses at meals. It is recommended to give sertraline patients who have significant social anxiety or been previously prescribed anxiolytics antidepressants.
A daily dose of 1-6 mg escitalopram 5mg is given to children with developmental disorders.
